Many clubs request that when an event is processed, it's not active straight away, and they would like to open the entries at their desired time or have it hidden from the calendar to allow members to be able to enter the event first.
You can edit the club details and set your preferred option for when we process an event and set up the online entries. The Default Event Status options are:
- ACTIVE: Automatically activate straight away.
- CLOSED: Event will be closed when processed, allowing you to re-open when you choose. The event will be visible in the public event calendar. Use this option if you want the event to be visible, but you don't want exhibitors to be able to enter the event until you open the entries.
- HIDDEN: Event will be activated, but will be hidden from the public event calendar, allowing you to share a link to the event and then make it public when you choose. Use this option if you want members or workers to be able to enter the event before it's made public. Anyone who has the link will be able to enter.
- CLOSED AND HIDDEN: A combination of both the other settings. The event will not be visible in the public calendar, and the public link will also not display any event details. Use this option if you do not want any details of the event to be publicly visible and do not want exhibitors to enter until you open and activate the entries.
When these options have been selected, you can then either 'Activate' or 'Re-Open' the online entries from the event details page.
